Over the last 30 years there have been many changes at Thomson & Bancks Solicitors, but one thing that has remained consistent: Managing Partner Paul Johnson’s commitment to the firm and his clients.
Paul was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986 and joined the Pershore office of Thomson & Bancks (Gordon Bancks & Co at the time) in March 1990. Paul’s hard work paid off in 1994 when he became a Partner of the firm. He then took over as Managing Partner in 2015, when he also moved to the Tewkesbury office.
Paul has always been a popular character. Consultant Solicitor Stephen Cook said: “Paul is a very accomplished all-rounder – as a lawyer and business manager. He attracted newspaper and national radio coverage in 2012 when he created the ‘Pershore Plum Charmer’ to promote the Pershore Plum Festival with his musical performances, in which he was seen cavorting around the Plum Orchards in the Vale of Evesham. Without fancy dress he has most recently played clarinet with ‘Café Capriccio’ at the Roses Theatre, and has been a Trustee of the Theatre since joining the Tewkesbury office.”
Paul’s experience in employment and business law is useful in the management of a four-office practice and he retains an interest in general litigation work with the invaluable support of his Secretary, Wendy Haskins.
Reflecting on his 30 years with Thomson & Bancks, Paul commented:
I have enjoyed the good fortune to have worked with a very dedicated team of people and I am grateful for all the support they have given.”
Although Paul may wince at the thought, today at Thomson & Bancks Solicitors we raise a glass to his 30 years of service and wish him well for many more years with us.
