I am the head of the Business Law Department.
I was admitted as a Solicitor in April 1980 having graduated with an Honours Degree in Law from Leicester University in 1977.
After training in Cardiff, I joined the firm in 1982 and became a partner in 1985.
From being a general practitioner “jack of all trades”, in recent years I have specialised in property law, particularly commercial property. I act for a number of substantial landlords and property developers locally and beyond.
Strange as it may seem to some, I actually enjoy the intellectual exercise of drafting complex legal documents. My pet hate is legalise and I always try to draft in a plain style that my clients will understand. Oh that all lawyers would do the same!
