Local, trusted and dedicated law firm, Thomson & Bancks, are seeing a summer of change this year.
The retirement of Partner and Chairman David Greer, who has been with the firm since 1982 and a Partner and Head of the Business Services department since 1985, is the end of an era but is bittersweet for the firm as it ushers in exciting new changes for the department.
The Business Services team has been strengthened by the recent appointment of Solicitors James Leyland and Rebecca Tiffin who have a wealth of knowledge and experience between them. Both James and Rebecca have fitted into the firm well with James saying “I am pleased to have been invited to join and strengthen such a forward thinking and close knit commercial property team”.
Solicitor John Stagg, who has been with the team since 2013, has been appointed as a Partner of Thomson & Bancks along with Emma Cottell of the Residential Property department. Since joining the firm in 2015, Emma has been an integral part of the team and it was a natural and very welcome progression for her to become a Partner. John specialises in commercial property and business sales and dedicates himself to providing the best service possible to his clients.
Both Emma and John will work closely with existing Partner, Sylvia Gillham, who will now head up both the Residential and Commercial Property departments across all four offices.
Sylvia comments “It is with very great pleasure that we are able to announce these changes which form part of the ongoing process of evolution within the firm. Although it does come with a tinge of sadness seeing our fellow Partner and friend David retiring, we are excited for the future of Thomson & Bancks”
Dating back to 1830, Thomson & Bancks are proud of their history but recognise the challenges of the ever changing legal services sector of today. With the latest and ongoing developments at the firm, it will continue to deliver the same great client care with new innovations.
As a client of Thomson & Bancks you can be sure that “You matter to us”.
