Halloween Bake Off Returns and This Year We’re Parking Our Brooms at Maggie’s

October 20, 2016

We are turning the Halloween Bake Off competition into an annual event loved by all in the Thomson & Bancks offices and we’re excited to announce that this year the competition will be held and judged at Maggie’s Cheltenham Centre on Monday 31st October in an afternoon of tea and talks.

A scary assortment of sweet delights will be baked by Thomson & Bancks staff which will go through the spookily subjective judgment of Maggie’s staff, managers and visitors. Be afraid, be very afraid, these judges only consider the most blood-curdling cake creations to make the winners shortlist.

Slices from all of our staff’s bakes will be sold, with proceeds donated to Maggie’s, acknowledging the fantastic work they do in providing free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.

Jane Fide, Maggie’s Cheltenham Centre Head commented:

“We are delighted for the support from Thomson & Bancks Solicitors and very much look forward to the Halloween afternoon at Maggie’s. We would like to thank all the staff for giving up their time to give their expertise and advice to our Centre visitors as well as baking some Halloween delights, which we look forward to tasting!”

Furthermore, Sarah Ingles, Consultant Solicitor here at Thomson & Bancks will be delivering a talk to Centre visitors from 3.30pm, covering her specialist areas of law and lifetime planning, and a Q&A session.

By 5pm we think it will probably be time for a tea break to see, judge and taste the spooktacular cakes. Who will be the star baker?

Happy Haunting!
