Thomson & Bancks are pleased to introduce their new Head of Medical Negligence, Lucy Sherry, Solicitor-Advocate.
Previously, Lucy has worked in Cardiff and Bristol since she began her training contract in 1999. She has experience of representing Local Authorities, GPs and the NHS for large national firms before becoming a welcome addition to the Claimant’s side 4 years ago. Her clients range from birth injured children to bereaved families and she says “I enjoy the challenges involved in tackling complex medical issues and knowing no 2 days will ever be the same in this field”. She intends to apply her energy into growing the team so as to establish a regional specialist department equal to those offered by the City firms in Birmingham or Bristol.
On selecting Thomson & Bancks, Lucy says “In unstable market conditions, I believe this long established Solicitors practice who prides itself on quality personal service will be here for years to come, supported by their loyal clients”. Lucy will be based between our Cheltenham and Tewkesbury offices but also available by appointment at Pershore.
Stephen Cook, the Partner in charge of our Personal Injury Department, comments “I am very pleased to welcome Lucy who has the breadth of experience to see the legal arguments from both sides which will be a real asset to her team and also is qualified to represent her clients at court hearings which is highly unusual for a Solicitor.”
