Legal Executive Jack takes part in T&B sponsored triathlon

Thomson & Bancks will be sponsoring the triathlon at Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham again this year, and one of our own has signed up to take part.

A Chartered Legal Executive in the Business Services department, Jack Morgan-Ebdon is also a dedicated sportsman as well as a lawyer, and always makes time for his various sporting interests outside of the office.

Having taken part in the Cheltenham Triathlon in 2018, he undertook the super sprint and completed it in 1hr 09mins 47secs. However, he did not feel like he had challenged himself as much as a he wanted. So, six years older and maybe a little wiser, he thought he would take on double the distances and undertake the sprint triathlon.

When talking about the challenge ahead, Jack said: “I am competing with my friend who is a teacher and we have been cycling to work together in preparation along with visiting the lido and running together. I ran the Cheltenham half in 2022 a week after getting married and the day after returning from our honeymoon. To keep up the tradition of terrible preparation, I am at a wedding in Spain the week before this year’s triathlon and expect the additional celebration/holiday weight will add to the task this year.”

The triathlon at the Sandford Parks Lido always has a fantastic atmosphere so if you are free on Sunday 15th September, pop down to cheer on Jack and all the participants, you may even see Partner of T&B, John Stagg, on the mic, cheering everyone across the finish line.
