Tewkesbury Bowling Club (Founded 1828) Ladies and Men’s Championship finals 2016, sponsored and watched by Thomson & Bancks on Saturday 10th September was concluded by the presentation of winners’ cups by Thomson & Bancks Partner, Paul Johnson.
Despite the poor weather conditions on the day, there was a good turnout of supporters, not to mention some excellent bowling.
The two championship games sponsored by Thomson & Bancks started in better afternoon weather but finished under darkening skies. Marion Haynes had to work hard to overcome last years’ novice cup winner Jan Bradshaw 21-13, and Paul Keicher one up after 14 ends against Dave Boulton picked up 11 shots over the next five ends to win 21-11.
Thomson & Bancks would like to take the time to congratulate Men’s winner, Paul Keicher and Ladies winner, Marion Haynes on fantastic victories and to the whole club on a truly enjoyable day of finals.
