As you may know by now, the Thomson & Bancks Halloween Bake Off returned for a third year and it’s resulted in some frighteningly good baking! Take a look at the entries in the gallery below.
As well as a baking competition, this annual event is also a charity fundraiser with slices of all the cakes sold for a donation and this year we decided to raise money for National Star, a fantastic organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of disabled people.
From severed arms to vampire coffins, mutant ghosts and bloody crime scenes, the entries for the competition were even more nightmarish than expected. And, we should say, even tastier! It just goes to show, solicitors have more imagination than you might think. Even if it is dark and twisted…
Best of all, we managed to raise a fang-tastic £97.50 for National Star. The organisation does so much good work and we’re always happy to contribute what we can.
Finally, the part you’ve been waiting for: The Bake Off results! Without further ado, the winner of the T&B Halloween Bake Off 2017 is… (drumroll please)
… Clive Haines!
Congratulations to Clive for the outstanding Bertie’s Demise cake.
In 2nd place with the severed arm cake was Sam Hawkins, and in 3rd was the vampire coffin by Louise Nikos.
We hope the Halloween Bake Off is a tradition we can continue for years to come. Next year we’ll be looking to get even more creative with the cakes and raise even more money for charity.
