Walking Wall Sisters Sponsor Success

A big congratulations to Thomson & Bancks’ Chrys Wall and her sister Zena, who on Thursday 28^th July travelled to Winston’s Wish charity HQ in Cheltenham to donate the last of their raised sponsorship money.

If you have seen our previous stories, you’ll know that Chrys and Zena had been in hard training for their challenge, walking London to Brighton, and completing the hike over the May bank holiday 2016. The challenge consisted of walking 34 miles from Richmond to their overnight stop at Turners Hill, before continuing on the Sunday walking a further 27 miles and ending at Brighton Racecourse.

All sponsorship money was raised towards the 24 year old Cheltenham based charity, Winston’s Wish, which is a leading childhood bereavement charity. The charity, who works with children who are bereaved of a parent, were delighted with the £1370.00 total raised by the “Walking Wall Sisters”.

Chrys would like to thank everyone who took the time to sponsor them, saying “the donations really spurred us both on to complete the walk.”
