Wendy Haskins

I have worked at Thomson & Bancks since January 2011. I started initially as Reception cover for a member of staff on sickness leave….. and I never left!

I became a secretary to one of the Partners, Paul Johnson, when his long serving secretary retired aged 70. Paul and I have worked together ever since, dealing mainly with employment and litigation cases. Working for the Managing Partner, I am involved in handling the client care complaints, HR related matters for staff, as well confidential management items for the Partners. Over the years, coming from a finance and insurance background, I have further developed my knowledge into the legal sector, having been involved with various court cases and a huge variety of client files. I am always on hand to support less experienced colleagues when any issues arise.

Outside of work, I am a social, sporty person. I belong to both running and triathlon clubs in Cheltenham. In 2022, I took on a personal challenge with the support of club mates and swam Lake Coniston, end to end (5.25 miles). Swimming is my favourite sport and I can be found at the Cheltenham lido 3 mornings a week before work.
